A co-founder of Stoke, David Miller has a diverse background in strategic marketing and concept development for firms within the healthcare, financial service, professional service, manufacturing, technology and consumer product industries. Through research and strategic planning, David guides clients to the organizational change and market positioning that creates winning brands.
He’s been recognized by Advertising Age magazine with the “Newspaper Marketer of the Year” award. He’s been honored as one of Graphic Design USA’s “50 People to Watch.” The Puget Sound Business Journal recognized him as one of Washington’s “40-under-40,” among the top business leaders in the Northwest. A noted public speaker and guest lecturer, he has presented at Harvard Medical Center and published in Brandweek, HOW Magazine, Communication Arts and Marketing.
David began his career as a copywriter for Brandt Advertising before moving to broadcast media at Surrey Broadcasting. His interest in consumer marketing and media led him to Radio Hauraki in Auckland, New Zealand where he worked as a marketing consultant with the PRISM Group while also playing rugby for Otahuhu Rugby Club.
David served as President of Marketing Communication Executives International (MCEI), and has served on the boards of The Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center-Business Alliance, The Friends of Children’s Hospital and The Ronald McDonald House Charities. An avid surfer, he and his family enjoy spending time at the Oregon coast.
Heather has an extensive background in marketing communications, with an emphasis on positioning, content planning and messaging. While her experience spans multiple industries, she specializes in healthcare and technology for a wide variety of projects including print collateral, websites, newsletters, advertising, articles for publication, case studies and multi-media scripts.
A graduate of the University of Washington, Heather consults with clients to assess current marketing programs and materials, and assists them in developing content plans with a clear message and consistent brand voice across the entire marketing continuum.
Heather served as Communications Director for leading healthcare technology companies IDX and Vitalcom before launching her own consulting business. She served as a key communications advisor to GE Healthcare for more than 10 years, building marketing communications programs from the ground up, and establishing and managing corporate brand identity standards throughout.
Heather has worked on projects for diverse organizations including Microsoft, Smith & Nephew, Physio-Control, Ronald McDonald House, Colliers, Rivertop, Seattle Chocolates and Cranium.
Heather is also the author of the historical fiction novel, Inscription.
